Recently, I've noticed many women with signs of PCOS, which saddens me, prompting me to write this for all beautiful women affected. Thankfully, with myo-inositol being affordable and accessible, it provides hope. This supplement significantly increases insulin receptor sensitivity, which is often reduced in Polycystic ovary syndrome. Indispensable for Polycystic Ovary Disease (PCOS). I took it during my pregnancy planning, which helped reduce insulin resistance and male hormones. Along with primrose, selenium, vitamin E, omega, and methylfolate, I achieved my much-awaited pregnancy and later had a son. I still take it in cycles to lower androgens and control the amount of male hair. It shows effectiveness but requires prolonged use. Highly recommend!

Myo-inositol is directly indicated for Polycystic ovary syndrome! 🌸 The most bioavailable form is Myo-inositol, proven effective by research. It enhances ovulation and fertility, particularly in women with PCOS. Inositol also aids sleep, mood, and can help mitigate symptoms like hair loss and skin issues. Additionally, it improves insulin sensitivity and has other metabolic benefits. It's essential during pregnancy planning! COCs prescribed for PCOS often mask the issue, whereas Inositol addresses the root cause. Highly recommend for its effectiveness and affordability.
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a common hormonal disorder that affects people with ovaries, often during their reproductive years. It is characterized by a combination of symptoms that can vary widely among individuals, such as irregular menstrual cycles, excessive body hair growth (hirsutism), acne, and weight gain. PCOS is also associated with the presence of many small cysts on the ovaries, which can be seen through an ultrasound. This condition can lead to long-term health issues, including type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and infertility, making early diagnosis and management crucial.
The exact cause of PCOS remains unclear, but it is believed to involve a combination of genetic, hormonal, and environmental factors. Treatment options often focus on managing symptoms and can include lifestyle changes like diet and exercise, hormonal contraceptives to regulate periods, and medications to address specific issues such as fertility or insulin resistance. Keeping an open line of communication with healthcare providers is essential for effective management of PCOS, as personalized treatment can significantly alleviate symptoms and improve quality of life.
Inositol is a naturally occurring sugar alcohol that plays a crucial role in cellular signaling and the structural integrity of cell membranes. It is a member of the B-vitamin complex and exists in several forms, with myo-inositol being the most prevalent in the human body. Inositol is found in various foods, including fruits, beans, grains, and nuts, and it can also be synthesized by the body from glucose. It is often marketed as a supplement for various health benefits, including mental health support, particularly for conditions like anxiety and depression, and is studied for its potential role in managing polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Research suggests that inositol may help in alleviating symptoms associated with these health issues by enhancing insulin sensitivity and regulating hormonal balance. While it is generally considered safe for consumption, individuals should consult with healthcare professionals before starting any new supplement regimen, especially if they have existing health conditions or are taking other medications. As with any supplement, the effectiveness can vary from person to person, and understanding the underlying scientific evidence can guide informed choices.

While studies have highlighted the promising effects of inositol, it's essential to approach it as part of a comprehensive management plan for PCOS. Lifestyle modifications, such as a balanced diet and regular exercise, remain foundational elements in managing the condition. Consulting healthcare professionals for personalized advice and treatment options is always recommended when considering supplements like inositol. Although the evidence is encouraging, individual results may vary, and more extensive research is needed to fully establish the efficacy of inositol for PCOS.

As a woman with PCOS, I’ve tried various means to regulate my hormones. After changing my diet and trying several herbs, I found inositol, which has been a game changer. It's now my third month without missing my period (after 18 months of absence). I have more energy, and I attribute this improvement to both dietary changes and inositol. It’s been transformative.

My doctor prescribed this due to PCOS and my aversion to metformin, which adversely affects the kidneys. I paired it with chromium picolinate and berberine, and it has helped significantly with my polycystic disease; my hands have shrunk and my insulin levels have improved. I take 2000 mg, equating to four tablets after dinner. I've completed three packs, and my ovulation has returned.

In Polycystic ovary syndrome, using D-chiro-inositol or myo-inositol lowers triglyceride and testosterone levels, slightly reduces blood pressure, and enhances ovarian function in overweight women. Some studies indicate that using both forms of inositol together improves ovulation and has positive effects on blood pressure, glucose, and insulin levels. A gynecologist prescribed inositol to enhance egg quality. I take four capsules daily. I cannot find inositol locally, making it convenient to order from iHerb at a reasonable price. This is my second order; I have faith that inositol will help me become a mother.

I began taking Inositol to improve egg quality for fertility, targeting insulin resistance related to Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). I take 4,000 mg daily, which requires consuming eight capsules in divided doses. Despite being quite a few, they are manageable to swallow. The results from my egg collection after this regimen were excellent; I observed a significant increase in mature eggs and normal fertilisation. This method was effective even in comparison to Clomid and HMG stimulation.
